The digital healthcare meeting poses challenges when lab tests are required to make a diagnosis. With FindOuts safe and fast self-tests, remote diagnosis is possible. The app is connected to healthcare providers and can therefore receive referrals and submit test results, in the same way as if the sample is sent to a lab. Please note that the test result must always be interpreted together with the symptoms by a doctor/medical staff. Diagnosis should not be based solely on the test result of the FindOut CRP Test, the final diagnosis is made by the doctor/medical staff.
How does it work? You have access to one of our test kits for sampling, which you either had sent home from your healthcare provider or bought yourself at a pharmacy. You download our app FindOut Diagnostic free of charge, and log in with BankID. Then select the test you want to perform (eg CRP) and follow the instructions for sample collection and analysis. The test requires 1 drop of blood (finger prick) and takes 15 minutes to complete. You get the test result directly because the App interprets the result using an algorithm and the mobile camera. If you have received a referral from a healthcare provider, you can choose to share your test results.
What can I test?
At the moment, FindOut offers self-tests for C-reactive protein (CRP or "rapid sinker") and HbA1c ("long-term sugar").
FindOut CRP Test measures the concentration of CRP between 3-200 mg/L in blood from the finger. The test result is stated so-called quantitatively, which means an exact result such as "4 mg/L" or "117 mg/L".
FindOut HbA1c Test measures the concentration of HbA1c in blood from the finger. The test result is stated so-called semi-quantitatively, which means that the test result indicates whether you are below or above the limit value of 42 mmol/mol (6%). People at risk of developing type 2 diabetes usually have a higher concentration than 42 mmol/mol.
FindOut has an ongoing development of additional biomarkers that will be launched shortly. The following self-tests are commonly used tests that are carried out in laboratories.
How safe is it? All FindOuts self-tests are CE-marked for your safety and security. Extensive studies have been carried out to ensure high quality, in addition the test kit and the App have built-in security controls. You can read about the precision and accuracy of each self-test in the App and on the web under the information page for each self-test.
